Deanna Hinkins	Master Stylist Paul Mitchell National Premier Educator Born in San Jose, CA but raised all over the United States as a Navy brat. Moved back to California in 1972 and raised in Union City. She now resides with her daughter in Pleasanton, CA. 29 years as a barber and cosmetologist. 26 years as a Paul Mitchell Educator. National Certified Colorist. She did her training at Moler Barber College and Marinello Beauty School in San Francisco CA. Deanna has held many titles in the Paul Mitchell organization such as train the trainer and task force. She has done extensive and on-going trainings with some of the best hairdressers in the world. She has done training all over the United States, Canada, Mexico and numerous cruise ships doing platform/stage shows. Her hobbies include golf, working out and reading. She does not believe in being complacent, she loves change and new things. Deanna’s Quote: "My goal is to upgrade the standard of our industry. Charlene Wedberg	Front Desk and Salon Coordinator Charlene is originally from Massachuesetts and has lived in London England. She relocated to California 27 years ago and plans to stay for another 27 years. She is a retired Architect, Structural Engineer, and Interior Designer. She was educated at UC Berkeley. Charlene came to Hairlights Salon just for the sheer fun of it. She is a “people person” and loves to help mentor others. Her hobbies include, traveling, oil and water painting, sailing, puzzle solving and volunteer work for the San Ramon Historical Society. Her most favorite activity is hanging out with her BFF—the Husband. Charlene’s Quote: “I have found a stimulating environment that allows me to stay young at heart.”

Betty Burback	Master Stylist National Paul Mitchell Senior Educator She grew up in Salinas, California. She is fluent in Spanish and English. She has been part of the Latin Educational team for Paul Mitchell She has over 20 years in the beauty industry. Has participated in international training as well as various platform and stage work. She is a national certified colorist. Betty’s Quote: “I love long hair and getting you there and once you are there add the magic of block color.”

Jennifer Ortuno	Premier Stylist Born and raised in Livermore California. Was trained at San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology – A Paul Mitchell School. She is outgoing, easy to talk to, friendly and a hard worker. Her hobbies are working out, golfing, shopping, reading, dressing up and dining out. Jennifer loves the work she does with the John Robert Powers modeling agency, teaching classes, doing make-overs and consultations with new and continuing models. Jennifer’s Quote: “ I love to work with my hands and have an artistic flair with people and their hair.”

Phil Ketchum	New Talent Stylist Phil was born in Santa Rosa CA and raised in Livermore CA and still lives there! Worked for West Coast Beauty, our local distributor, for over 3 years and became inspired to work with hair when he saw the Paul Mitchell culture. Phil did his training at the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology, a Paul Mitchell partner school. Phil really enjoys playing his guitar with his band "From the Fog". He is a true Rock Star! He is a confident, calm and naturally talented hair stylist. Phil’s Quote: “When people come first - success follows. I want all guest experiences to be a success.”

Cheryl Smith	New Talent Stylist Cheryl was born in Oakland and raised in San Lorenzo. Cheryl is an accomplished artist with an AA degree in Commercial Art. She is an experienced muralist, graphic artist and textile artist. She decided to become a cosmetologist because she feels it is an extension of the art field. She did her training at Fremont Beauty School in Fremont CA. Cheryl is upbeat and creative with a great sense of humor and loves to work with the public. Her hobbies are oil painting, watercolors, pottery, sewing, dancing and most outdoor sports. Cheryl’s Quote: “Aging is only a state of mind, think young act young and enjoy life to the fullest - always keep smiling.”

Jaclyn Luong	Jaclyn Luong Nail Technician Jaclyn is originally from Vietnam and has lived in California for over 30 years. She did her training at Fremont Beauty School. Specializes in spa pedicures, manicures and all forms of artificial nails. She is a quiet observant and has an incredible memory. Her hobbies include cooking, and being a GREAT Mom. Jaclyn’s Quote: “I absolutely love people and enjoy putting smiles on everyone’s faces.”

Becky Kargas-Radvany	Becky Kargas-Radvany Reservationist Becky was born and raised in Orange County, CA. She relocated to Northern California in 2006 and lives in Tracy. She graduated from the Golden West College Cosmetology program in Huntington Beach, CA. Becky is a two-time graduate of advanced cutting courses at the Vidal Sassoon Academy, Santa Monica, CA. She has previously worked throughout Southern California as a senior stylist. In the pursuit of furthering her own education and life experiences, Becky explored other professional avenues, temporarily diverting her from cosmetology, which was her passion. Now re-joining the profession with renewed energy, she is committed to providing quality customer service to our most important assets - our guest! Becky's other hobbies include reading, gardening, experiencing the outdoors and raising her Welsh Corgi "Tegan" and her Tibetan Spaniel "Bristol". Becky truly believes that every guest at Hairlights Salon deserves the very best we as professionals have to offer them - from the first "hello" until "we see you again".
